Men's Head Coach: Peter Brevick

Peter Brevick joins Washington State University as the Head Coach of Cougar Crew. Brevick comes to Pullman from Oklahoma City, OK where he has spent the past 5 years working with the Oklahoma City Boathouse Foundation and the OKC Riversport Junior Rowing program.

Peter joined the OKCBF in the summer of 2012 as Boatman for all programs, and soon took on additional roles working with national rowing adaptive camps and the junior rowing program. In 2014 he added work with the OKC National High Performance Center, which led to a stint coaching the USA Men’s Light 2- at the 2014 World Championships in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Upon returning to Oklahoma City, Brevick began coaching the OKC RIVERSPORT Novice Boys program. Highlights from the 2014-15 season included the first ever Boys points trophy for OKC at the SWEAT erg regatta, as well as wins in three of the four novice events at the US Rowing Central Youth Regional Championships. In the fall of 2015 Brevick continued with OKC Riversport as the Varsity Boys Coach. Notable accomplishments from his first season with the Varsity Boys include a 4th place finish at Youth Nationals in the Pair, as well as sending two athletes to the USRowing Junior National Team High Performance camp. This past season had multiple team best performances, highlighted by finishing 13th at the Head of the Charles in the Youth Eights, and 2nd at Youth Nationals in the Four.

Peter began rowing in 2002 at Washington State University. Brevick began coaching at WSU as an assistant in 2007. After working in other capacities stateside and overseas for three years, he returned to Washington State to coach the Novice Men for the 2011-2012 season.

Women's Rowing Club Coach: Hugo Moon

Hugo Moon joins WSU as a Graduate Assistant working primarily with the Club Women squad. Moon originally hails from Bedford, United Kingdom but has also spent recent years in Birmingham, Warwick and Bournemouth.

Hugo followed his older brother into coxing and has now been directly involved in the sport for over ten years. He coxed all through high school and coxed with the school's 1st VIII for two years, attending Henley Royal Regatta and placing well at the National School's Regatta. During his time with school, he also spent time training with both England and Great Britain junior boats in preparation for Home Countries and Coupe de la Jeunesse regattas.

In Hugo's final year of high school he also started coxing with the local team in Bedford, Star Club, getting to the final in the Thames Cup, Henley Royal Regatta in 2011 and winning the Jackson Trophy at HORR 2012. He attended the University in Birmingham, with whom he coxed the 1st IV at the British University and College Sport Regatta in his freshman year.

Hugo has spent the last two years running the U15 boys at Canford School (2016-17) and the Women's Squad at Warwick University (2015-16), the latter of which achieved a Club record 43rd place at WeHorr.

Alongside his coaching duties, Hugo is undertaking a two year masters in sport's management.
