Riders Placement Explained:

For shows riders are placed according to a placement survey taken online through IHSA. PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT THIS SURVEY INDIVIDUALLY. This survey is complicated and extremely specific. Placement surveys are filled out at the new member meeting at the beginning of the year. Placement is based on the riders USEF show record only for english and AQHA/APHA show record for western. Coaches have the ability to try and steward riders up or down (but this is extremely rare). Please note: Prior to common belief, we want riders in the lowest level possible to ensure they have a successful first year in IHSA. Riders point up to a new level after achieving 36 points.
